Bife a tronqueira. Not a fan of mustard, but the mild mustard sauce on this steak is amazing. The fresh cheese is also a must! If you can't visit the islands, visit aliança - azorean food at its best.
Food is fantastic and the staff is 2nd to none
Food was great! I've never been disappointed.
My wife and son had brought me here for birthday dinner, as she knows Aliancas is one of my favorite place. It was decently busy, and we were told there would be a 45 minute wait due to short staffing. We were welcomed inside and understood the circumstances.
I ordered Surf & Turf, my son ordered a medium rare steak, and my wife ordered Mozambique steak. The waitress with the pink hair was great! She was accommodating, pleasant with her service, and made the experience a lot more wholesome.
When the food arrived, I was blown away as far as previous expectations. My steak was cooked perfect. My son and my wife also had perfectly cooked steaks. The shrimp that accompanied my meal was amazing. The stuffing that surrounded my shrimp with was loaded with flavor that knocked me off of my seat.
For dessert, I had no idea my wife and the waitress had discussed something and I was surprised with a passion fruit mousse and a birthday celebration that ended my experience at Aliancas as a great one.
Highly recommended and will be there again soon!
Wonderful. Parking is difficult but wirth the aggravation. The servers were so warm and friendly. I had felt a little uneasy in the tight congested neighborhood but they out me at ease and made me feel so welcome. The shrimp Mozambique is life changing and far better than Antonio's nearby. Antonio's is also charming and good but for shrimp Mozambique I give Alianca the crown. I also had an Azorean steak that cut like butter and melted in the mouth. The pumpkin cheesecake was a great cap to my meal. If I was driving past New Bedford, I would make a special detour to go here again.
This was our first time there. We ran into a lot of people that we knew. Service and food and price were excellent. Definitely going to be on my top favorite places to go.
Hands-down some of the best Portuguese food I have ever had in the New Bedford area and beyond! Susie and her team go above and beyond to make you feel at home. I highly recommend everything, especially their Portuguese steak! You won't regret it.
I took my family out for lunch, service and food were phenomenal. Staff was very attentive, caring and proper. Definitely a Casa Portuguesa that you should go visit, I know I will be returning. Thank you Alianca Restaurant.
We had perfectly cooked octopus with potatoes and acoren steak. Both were perfect. Quinas larger was a great match too.
We go there as often as we can, The food is delicious, the owner Susie is amazing, the staff is great and friendly. If you haven't gone there yet ,you don't know what your missing.
Superb vibes and super friendly service. The food was fresh and delicious. Will clearly recommend this spot to others. Reasonable rates and generous meals. Good job.
The steaks were very good. The outdoor dining area was enjoyable. Everyone was nice and accommodating.
After a fun day out with my family, we decided on visiting Aliança Restaurant for dinner. We have never been there before, and I was in the mood for good Portuguese style cuisine. Because I have never been there before, I was hesitant on what to expect. We were greeted by our waitress and sat down to order.
I ordered the Portuguese Steak (medium rare), my wife ordered the Chicken Mozambique, and my son ordered the Jr Steak (also medium rare). As the food arrived to the table, I was surprised at the large portions per plate.
After the first bite of my Portuguese steak... I was instantly blown away and sent into another world. My steak was cooked perfectly. The flavor combinations had a wonderful mix of passion, authenticity and everything that a great dining experience should have.
I couldn't help but snag a bite of my wife's Chicken Mozambique and all I have to say is.... "Wow!!!" From the sauce, down to the quality of the chicken... it was amazing.
Everything was deliciously wonderful!
I am thankful to have stumbled on to this place and will, surely, be visiting it more often!!!
A small bar and bigger dining area. Excellent service and generous portions of traditional Portuguese food. Parking lot is always full but plenty of street parking is available.
Come down and enjoy the food and atmosphere. Really good food. Check them out on Facebook too.
We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience at Alianca's Restaurant. Took the server's suggestion on the wine and cheese and was not disappointed. Mrs S. had the Shrimp and Chicken Mozambique and I dined on the Portuguese Steak. Both were so good that we wanted to lick the plates when we were finished.
I cannot recommend Alianca's more. The food, the price, the service and the atmosphere were all fantastic. I wish we lived closer and could become regulars. Thank you so much.
